Dr Philip Maré is a Professional Engineer with nine years’ experience in consulting, project design, and management in the mining, industrial and energy sectors. His core focus is mine ventilation, cooling, water, and refrigeration system design and optimisation. He has implemented operational improvement projects from concept design to commissioning.
He has first-hand experience with implementing valuable digital solutions for mining clients by combining industry experience with his analytical and engineering abilities. His consulting experience is backed by vast industry experience.

Jaco de Villiers
Mr. Jaco de Villiers is a Mechanical Engineer with five years’ experience in consulting, engineering design, optimisation studies, and project management within the mining industry. He has invaluable experience in compressed air and refrigeration system design and optimisation and has successfully delivered related studies and designs within the mining industry.
His primary focus is to combine his technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and project experience, to deliver the best engineering solutions to Mventech’s Clients.

Dr Waldt Hamer
Dr Waldt Hamer is a project specialist with nine years’ experience in large industries, including mining, mineral-, metal- and petrochemical processing. He is skilled in project management, performance analysis, research and development. Waldt holds a PhD in engineering and his contributing fields includes energy efficiency, tax incentives, carbon tax, simulation, data management and analytics.
He has managed several project engagements for large corporations. In this field, he has gained exposure in solving technical and legislative uncertainties in order to achieve strategic objectives. Waldt has a knack for converting complex conceptual ideas into practical results.

Dr Charl Cilliers
Dr Charl Cilliers is a mechanical engineer with a PhD in Engineering with 11 years’ experience in mine ventilation, engineering, energy, and operational efficiency improvements. Charl is also in the process of obtaining an Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control from the Minerals Council of South Africa.
He has successfully managed senior consultant engineers on mine shafts, and was responsible for the investigation, design and roll-out of engineering system improvement projects. Charl has invaluable experience in mine ventilation and refrigeration design, data analytics and compressed air.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
William Shaw
Mr William Shaw is a mechanical engineer with more than five years’ experience in project design and project management for the mining, industrial and energy sectors.
He also gained invaluable experience whilst completing his Master in Mechanical Engineering, and short courses in HIRA for mining and legal liability for mining through NOSA.
William is highly skilled in compressed air systems, data processing and interpretation, holistic energy management and technical auditing of complex systems. He has strong technical, problem solving, technology, and leadership capabilities.

Andreas Liebenberg
Mr Andreas Liebenberg is a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer with two years’ experience within the renewable and research industries. He completed his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree top of his class. He also gained invaluable experience whilst completing his Master in Mechatronic Engineering Cum laude on wireless network architecture and performance modelling.
He has compelling research, modelling and programming skills which have assisted in a vast range of projects, specifically in network design, Finite Element Analysis, CAD, and robotics. He also provides valuable insights into mechatronic and sensing systems with his current industry involvements.

Ockert Kotze
Mr Ockert Kotze is a Mechanical Engineer with four years’ experience in the industry. As Junior Engineer his responsibilities included design, costing, modelling and professional interaction with several engineering disciplines. Ockert was soon tasked to fulfil the role of Project Engineer and was involved with projects for chemical and mining companies. Here he assessed and project managed engineering requirements and deliverables and managed project execution and resource utilisation.
Ockert is a strong problem solver and has innovative mechanical design ideas resulting in inventive engineering solutions. He thinks outside the box to enable best outcomes taking into account safety, efficacy and economic viability.

Mrs Lena du Toit is a mechanical engineer with combined 5 years’ experience in mining and chemical production plants. She has gained in-depth knowledge in maintenance planning and condition-based maintenance systems while working at a leading global agricultural science and technology provider.
Lena is an analytical thinker and effective problem solver with strong project management and scheduling skills.

Anéne Maré
Mrs Anéne Maré is a Marketing and Brand Management Specialist with eight years' experience in the industry. Her marketing and brand management experience includes working with production planning at factories, strategising, planning and implementing marketing and social media marketing plans, project and portfolio budgeting and planning, and ensuring on-time project delivery.
Anéne not only serves as our brand expert, but also as our client liaison working with customer queries, invoicing and finances and other customer administration.
